USC’s Honors College is definitely a reach for me, but how about the normal university?

Asian American, OOS (DMV)
GPA- 3.95 W-- will go up after they recalculate my GPA after 1st semester
ACT- 31 (32 super scored)
Have taken 6 Honors classes, 3 APs
Dual enrolled at community college (4 credits)

Varsity Crew Team (4 years)
Volunteer at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum
Ambassador for a girl empowerment movement
Have studied abroad in China
Member of my leadership class- chaired Homecoming Parade and Powderpuff
Elected as a representative of my high school to the county Superintendent

I know my GPA is definitely not up to standards compared to my scores for Honors…I’m praying that with the extra boost from my classes this year and USC’s own weighted scale, it will help me.

You will into UofSC don’t under estimate yourself. You WGPA is pretty average and your ACTT Is very good.

You got a good chance. My kid is also applying there.

Getting into University of SC should not be an issue, Honors may be more difficult with current GPA and ACT. You are competitive for Capstone. @carolinamom2boys Thank you so much for your reply. My biggest concern is the GPA. I visited this weekend and absolutely loved the school. They said that THE GPA range on the pamphlet is on a 5.0 scale. My GPA is on a 4.0 scale. Do you know what that would translate to? I also know that the recalculate your GPA to their standards anyways.
