Havent Taken SAT or SAT2 (Been so busy taking college classes. Have no time to study for SAT.)

EC: Boys and Girls Club 20 Hours Community Service, Currently in Alpha Gamma Sigma at College, In the Honors Program at College. Volleyball Team Freshman Year. Every Sunday am a Bible Teacher. JOB: Used to Tutor Elementary Kids in my Freshman Year.

I only have one thing to say: You can’t get in at UCSF. It’s a graduate school.

^Amen brother. As for actually chancing you, I cannot say anything because you have yet to take the SAT.

ohh ok thanks.

does uop look at ur freshman grades?
Does anyone know??

Just got back from a tour at UOP. They look at all grades 9-12. Everything, including PE etc from 9-11 will be evaluated for admissions. They will examine final transcript for 12th. If you had senioritis, you will lose your admissions. Happens every year.

Average gpa for acceptance last year was a 3.5 unweighted (they don’t use weighted gpa) and 1200 SAT.

Having honors and AP classes on the transcript is desirable and will only help you. They would rather see you challenge yourself than get A’s in the easy classes. They also look favorably on college courses taken at a cc.

That said, they have three impacted majors that you need a higher gpa and test scores for. They are: dentistry, pharm, and biology. Admissions spokesperson did not give a specific number, just said they were very competitive majors.

If you apply using their online application, there is no essay or letter of recommendation required. You can also apply using the common application. I get the feeling that EC’s are not a big deal so don’t count on them helping you. Not one word about them from the admissions counselor.

The SATs will be more important to college admission then some CC classes, so start focusing on them.

UCSF does not have an undergrad program. UOP’s dentistry program is very competitive and you need much higher than their average stats. I think they would prefer to see calc BC if it’s offered by your school and they will want a high SAT math l and ll.
