Chance Me For UPenn, BU, GWU, TCNJ, & Quinnipiac?!

<p>Thank you in advance to whoever chances me. I'll chance back! Here goes:</p>

<p>Cumulative Unweighted GPA: 87.1 on a 100 scale (through junior year)
*My school does not weight grades or rank students
*Since sophomore year there's been an upward trend in grades: 89 GPA fresh year, 85 GPA soph year, 87 GPA junior year, 92 GPA so far this year (almost done with first semester)</p>

<p>Course Rigor: All honors classes and two AP classes
*I attend a selective magnet school in NJ
*Most students are not allowed to take any APs until junior year. All non-AP classes are taught at the honors (accelerated) level
*Senior Year course load: AP Bio, AP Gov't, (college level) anatomy & physiology II, honors calculus, honors English IV, honors psychology, fitness/health IV, and a (college level) EMT class</p>

<p>ACT: 27 composite (29 English, 26 Math, 27 Reading, 27 Science; 9 Essay; 28 combined English/Writing sub score) [converts to about an 1850 on SAT]</p>

<p>Extra Curricular Activities:
-Student Movement Against Cancer <a href="School%20Representative/Chair,%202%20years">helps raise money and organize my school's annual relay for life event</a>
-Yearbook Club (Senior Editor/Advertising Manager, 2 years)
-Track & Field (Sprinter, 2 years)
-Chess Club (Media Chairperson, 3 years)
-Hospital Emergency Room Volunteer (135 hours over summer & on a regular basis now)
-Active Church Member (4 years)
-Health Occupations Students of America (4 years)</p>

<p>*My English teacher says I have a great common app essay. I think the supplements are pretty good too. I have good recommendations as well.</p>

<p>Looks like you have a good chance for all the colleges! I would UPenn would be the best fit but thats just my opinion</p>

<p>Don’t listen to him^^ UPenn is a high reach. Why? Because of your act score. Boston is a low reach/high match and I don’t know enough about the other colleges to make a prediction. Good luck.</p>

Your ACT is way below the line for most of these, but here goes:
Penn: out of reach
BU and GW: Reach
TCNJ and Quinnipiac: Match</p>

<p>I’m all for applying broadly but this is a bizarre college list.</p>

BU: Reach
GWU: Reach
TCNJ: Match/High match
Quinnipiac: Low match/Match</p>

<p>Do you have a problem with Rutgers? Or is Rutgers your absolute safety? Or do you already have an acceptance letter from that school?</p>

<p>I’ve already been accepted into all the schools I’ve applied to thus far, including Rutgers. These schools are just the ones remaining</p>

<p>UPenn is a high reach. BU and GWU are reaches. Quinnipiac is right on target, and TCNJ is almost a safety for you. Best of luck to you :)</p>

<p>UPenn is a high reach. BU and GW are both high matches/low reaches, you have a small chance at both. I don’t know enough about the other two schools to give an opinion.</p>
