One article from a few years back said that 40% of legacy ED applicants were accepted, do you think this is still true? Do you think I would fit into that 40%?

Should I apply to Penn ED, or am I misguided?I really do want to go to Penn but I want to be realistic. Plz share any advice to increase chances/frame my application

Can you recommend other schools where I would match, etc.?

Thanks to anyone who replies! I appreciate your response

ohh forgot this:

EC/Service: I am an appointed official in my town on the Human Rights Commission, I was the youngest member to be appointed to it. This commission works to bring people together and spread knowledge of human rights, and fight hate/abuses against people.

OK update, SAT is now 1420, subject tests soon

Do not count on the 40%. the number is much lower in recent years. The importance of legacy is diminishing, and ranks lower than other hooks, like URM, Low Income, first generation of colleges…

In the past, a lot of legacy applicants with high stats did not get in. Some subsequently got into UChicago, and other ivies…

F2000sa - have you seen more recent stats on a true legacy admit rate? I agree with you that legacy appears to be declining in impact, but I’m taking this from articles and blog posts from staff.

ok lol new update: sat score 1460
