Rank: None, highest grouping (not sure what the percentile is)
AP: European History, 4
(Calculus BC, US History, Chemistry) all this year, hopefully mostly 5’s and maybe one 4
Senior Course Load: Physics C AP, Advanced Calculus, AP Gov/Econ, Spanish 4 AP, AP Literature
Major Awards: Probable National Merit Semifinalist (227 PSAT), possible National Merit Finalist (unlikely, heard it’s very hard to get), National Honor Society

Extracurriculars: Junior Varsity Tennis (2 years), California YMCA Youth & Government (Delegation Vice President, Lead Justice of the Appellate Court junior year, Forum Committee Chair freshman year)

I think you have a great shot. I’m sure you’ll make into a couple top 20 schools.

With your stats, I’d say Penn is a low reach. If you apply ED, even better. Chance me?

Yea your stats and gpa are fire. I’d say a weekness is the number of APs you’ve taken. You probably could’ve also played another sport. You said you played tennis for 2 years, does that mean you stopped playing or started sophomore year? Schools don’t like the former. You did well to balance school with volunteering, schools like all that homeless people stuff.

Overall, I’d say Penn is still a reach for everyone, even though you have a solid chance. You show high caliber and are definitely going to be considered, especially ED.
