<p>Wow, that is a great application! The only advice I can offer you is this: When writing about the loss of a loved one, be sure not to turn it into a sob story. Colleges are looking for resilient individuals who can bounce back from suffering as opposed to someone who is self-pitying. From what you have written about Somalia, I don’t think you have that problem. IMHO you could get into any of those colleges fairly easily, considering the fact that they are all top-notch schools.
