P.S. - I will not be requiring aid, actually I don't think I'll be offered any!

UCB you will definitely get in, and I’d say you’d get into at least one of the others, no weaknesses to speak of.

As an international, it is bound to be hard regardless of your scores, but given that your scores are so great, I still think you have a fair chance. I agree that you won’t be offered any aid, and another important thing to note is that if you use commonapp, I don’t think you will be able to fit all of those ECs, so chose the activities that showcase your abilities. I would definitely apply, because who knows? Good luck!

Ahhh, okay, could you recommend some good colleges that I can consider as safeties?
And also, could you recommend some ways in which i could make my profile and application more competitive?

UT Austin ,UIUC and Georgia Tech are three excellent schools which you could consider safeties…your scores and grades are excellent throughout…and remember Stanford is practically a reach for everybody…same for UPenn…I don’t know about CMU…I think you have a very decent shot at Cornell and you should most probably get into UCB

Also let me know what you think of my chances ( i am in the same boat as you,indian applicant,CBSE board) …<a href=“Chance me...Will chance back - #11 by figuresk8ter07 - Chance Me / Match Me! - College Confidential Forums”>Chance me...Will chance back - #11 by figuresk8ter07 - Chance Me / Match Me! - College Confidential Forums;

“I will not be requiring aid, actually I don’t think I’ll be offered any”

Reach rather than high reach: CMU, Cornell and Penn
Stanford: Reach no matter what you are

Would it okay for me to consider UIUC, GeorgiaTech, Ann Arbour and Amherst low matches?
