Chance Me for UPenn, etc

Hello Everyone,
Can you guys chance me please? I'm not sure if me looking at UPenn is a little overambitious. I'm interested in Pre-Med as a major. And I'm still looking for other schools in the northeast/mid atlantic/southeast to apply to, so if you know of any schools that are a match for my stats I'd appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks a lot

Hooks?
I'm hispanic, don't really know how much that helps
my dad is a PSU alum, other than that nothing really

Applying to:
PSU Schreyer Honors College
UPenn
Bucknell
Pitt
Duke
Emory
Dartmouth (maybe)
Any others?

low reach, gpa/sat not enough, would be high if it weren’t for urm

PSU Schreyer Honors College: match
UPenn: high reach
Bucknell: match
Pitt: low match / safety
Duke: high reach
Emory: high match
Dartmouth: high reach

I’d recommend you retake either the SAT or the ACT, shooting for at least 2100 (700+ on each section) or at least 31, respectively.

Good luck!

thanks guys. I’m retaking the ACT and expecting a 32-33 because I’m used to the reading section now. I think that will be what I send to colleges. Will that help my chances?

i agree with halcyon. ur sat is a bit low for upenn.

chance me back maybe

I hopefully will get a 33 on ACT and send only that to colleges. Will my extracurricular be enough for top tier schools? I’ve been pretty consistent throughout and have done a good amount of stuff

low reach. If you can bump up your ACT and write a great essay, you would have a decent chance :)

Wow, great GPA and awards, I think you’re in at PSU and have a great shot at the other schools!

Keep in mind even if you get a 33, Penn looks at ALL testing history for ACT and SAT. Good luck!

What’s the big deal if Penn looks at all testing history? If you score well in the end, that’s not good enough?
