<p>I really love Penn and even though there are a lot of other schools that I will get accepted to and would love to attend, I'm really curious about my chances at Penn.</p>

<p>Stats and Info:
Female
Ohio
Probably majoring in Physics but maybe Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical)</p>

<p>International Baccalaureate Diploma Candidate
Weighted GPA: 4.25
Unweighted: 3.8
Class Rank: 16/351 (top 5%)
ACT (April): 27 (27, 33, 25, 22, 8 (writing))
ACT (June): 31 (31, 33, 32, 28, 7 (writing))
Rigor: Highest available at my school except Calc AB instead of BC
AP Calc AB: 5</p>

<p>ECs: attempting to organize from most involved (greatest depth) to least
Marching Band (Clarinet) 5 years- Squad Leader 2 years
VP of Student Fundraising Committee (this is a marching band thing)-lead 2 of our biggest fundraisers
Independently run service project-hygiene product collection for homeless
Project w/ friend: School campaign for depression and suicide awareness
Project I organized and lead that ended up also becoming our IB class CAS project: A district wide career fair
Active Student Council Member- Homecoming and a big Christmas gift collection for local needy children annually
Orchestra (Viola)
Wind Ensemble (Clarinet)
Distance Runner (run when possible year round with a few 5Ks a year and I trained for and ran a half marathon with a church group this past spring)-no significant talent/average speed
Superintendent Student Advisory Committee
Junior Mentor to Incoming Freshmen
Statistician for Boys Volleyball Freshman and Sophomore Years
Track Sophomore year (injuries and course load prevented involvement other years)
Chorus member in SchoShow
Some pretty random service hours-somewhere around 70 (they will be documented because of IB CAS forms)</p>

<p>Awards: Acceptance into NHS
Superior (I/highest) Rating at OMEA solo and ensemble contest both years (both Viola solos)
Most Outstanding Marcher
Academic, Orchestra, and Band Letters</p>

<p>Your ACT score is a tiny bit low for UPenn. Try to improve it to a 32 or better. You definitely have a chance.</p>

<p>Thanks for the responses everyone :slight_smile: I think I will take the ACT again. Not only would a 32 better my chances at UPenn but also move me up a merit scholarship level at multiple other universities on my list. Thanks again!</p>

<p>@Catria Yeah OSU is on my list. I considered it more of a match but either way I have 2-3 in both the safety and match categories.</p>
