right now, i'm asian and have a SAT of 2020.. 600 reading/770math/650 writing, and im w8ing or the oct score...
my SAT 2: 780 Math 2 and 800 Chemistry

i have 4.0 Gpa and 4.5 culmulative weighted, i have 12 aps throughout highschool. Im a member of the national honor society/Science honor society/ Mu Alfa Theta/ Spanish honor society. Im the president and secretary of some clubs.

i guess im more science oriented, i got 5s on Chem, Calc and Physics AP. 4 in Us history, and i have participated in the science olympiad and have won some state/regional awards.

I know my SATs are weak and i think the Oct test would mostly only bring it up by 100 points, but i still would apply to Upenn for ED.. Can someone chance me ?

and does it help that i've only lived in US for less than 4 years? (toefl 109)

With your current SAT score, your chances are very slim. Hopefully your October score is much better. I think your chances are decent if your score goes up 100 points and if you apply ED. You have a shot, but nothing really stands out, to me at least. Your essay, recommendations, etc. may help you, though, depending on how strong they are.

I’m not sure about the boost of only living in the US for 4 years, so I can’t answer that question for you, sorry.

What’s your class rank or percentile? And although your SAT is low, since english isn’t your first language, you’ll get some leeway for your CR and Writing scores.

You seem like most other candidates to UPenn, phenomenal academic achivement, various impressive awards etc. No doubt your SAT is low, but hopefully the score you sent in was a lot higher. The big question is, what makes you different from all the other applicants? These types of colleges get thousands upon thousands of applicants, so you have to make youself stand out. Also, due to your race, what you have is not uncommon.

To be honest, your race actually might work against you here…the fact that English isn’t your first language might help a lot though. Do you do anything outside of school? It’s so hard to tell based on scores alone.
