Male, Legacy at URochester
Parents went through divorce, my freshman GPA was a ~3.7, but it has tumbled a ways especially junior year, and I explained this in both the additional information and with the my excellent teacher/counselor recs. I felt my essay was unique and would set me apart.

Principally I would like to hear what someone thinks about me getting into URochester, I have visited twice, interviewed (it went extremely well!), and it is by far my top choice, thus I applied ED, plus my desire to double major plays into their distinct curriculum setup. I would do anything to get in, and I feel I have most things going for me except for my grades/transcript which look pretty terrible at this point.

I realize that this forum does not do much at all for me but I feel as those I can get my feelings on this all out here.

I don’t know enough about Rochester to give you wonderful advice, but I think as a legacy you’ll probably be the in the same situation there as you will be at Union and Skidmore–a solid “maybe.” I would make sure to visit Skidmore, Union, St. Lawrence, and RPI and interview there if you can. You may have a slight edge at Skidmore, being male.
