Welcome to the USC forum, and yes - you are posting in the right place!

For meaningful chances, however, you need your UNweighted GPA and actual SAT or ACT scores, rather than *hoped-for *scores. I see that you are also applying to the UCs - you need to get your testing done as soon as possible if you haven’t taken any yet. For the UCs and for USC’s scholarship deadline, all of your testing should be done by November, and the December test date is the absolute last chance. That does not give you much of a chance for a re-take as you need to devote one sitting to your SAT subject tests for UC eligibility.

I had a few Bs every year from 9th grade to 10 th grade.
But, 11th grade I was #1 (as you can see from the 4.71 Junior year)
And Yes
I will be taking SATs in November

Because USC uses UNweighted GPA in admissions and on the freshman profile, any “chances” given using your weighted GPA and hoped-for SATs are completely meaningless. As you are not even willing to post your unweighted GPA…

I am sure you are aware of this, but just in case you aren’t:

You need to have *two different sittings for your SATs *- one for the SAT, and one for your SAT subject tests (you can take up to three subject tests at a single sitting). You can’t do you subject tests at the same sitting as your SAT. The only dates that will be in time for UC applications (and for USC’s scholarship deadline) are 10/9, 11/6 and 12/4. You will need to register for two of those dates - one for the subject tests, and one for the SAT.

Im pretty sure January SATs will come in fine
You should plan to take the SAT twice, in case you dont hit 2000 on the first try, although you should be aiming higher if you want to increase your chances. i dont think SAT IIs matter as much, i only got high 600s for 3 of them. And yeah, what is your unweighted gpa

USC admissions weighs your standardized testing scores more than the UC’s and other schools of its caliber. Be sure to break 2000, and I’m sure you will be an optimal candidate for admission. Good luck! Fight On!

honestly, i do not see why you would not get in. i had an unweighted gpa of 3.2 for my high school career, did like 2 extracurricular activities, played basketball for 3 years, took 6 APs total in my 4 years, and i still got in

Thanks for the clarification. That means it will be out for the class of 2016. CA dropping the subject tests will likely result in more states doing the same, except perhaps for home schoolers. That’s a big revenue loss for you know who.
