I must say that you have fantastic E.C.'s That being said, your ACT is within USC’s Middle 50, but towards the low end of it. As of now I’d say a high match, because of a GPA below their average.

Chance me back?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1504043-new-member-looking-chances.html

I’ll be a little more pessimistic and say reach. I think that your GPA is fine, if slightly on the low side, but the ACT is low. Bring that up and I think you’ll be fine.

Do you think it’s more wise to drop USC and apply for NYU ED because that might give me an easier reach school. Or should I apply to USC and NYU RD like I planned to?

USC would be a high match because of the GPA and ACT

ECs are great! ACT just a hair low, GPA just a little low. You sure look like a great addition though. You should be optimistic, but don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Best of luck!

Thank you so much for the input, but could someone answer my question about NYU? Thanks :)

Why not apply NYU ED and USC RD?

You should be good.

http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/private/1213/USCFreshmanProfile2012.pdf

ACT at the 25th%-tile. UWGPA below the average admit and the average enrollee. USC admit rate at 20% and rumored lower for this year’s class. I suggest treating SC as a reach.

Knockaround has good advice, but I’ll add, only apply to NYU if you really want to go there.

I feel like NYU is easier to get in than USC. If I can’t make it into NYU ED, then it probably means I can’t get into usc.

NYU ED: Match
NYU RD: High Match
