Sorry I know it's a lot to ask but it would be so helpful to know what to do because I really need to go to USC!

You have a strong GPA and your ACT/SAT scores are excellent! Youre also a California resident which is a good thing and will be in your favor! I would say its a definite match!

Sorry to disappoint you, but the person above is unfortunately incorrect. Your GPA is below average for USC, and the ACT/SAT is waaaay below average for USC. I’d raise the SAT at least 200 points, and the ACT at least 3 or 4 points.
However, your ECs are actually decent. But I don’t think they’ll help enough to make up for the other stuff.
USC would be a low reach/reach depending on your improvement and how good your essays are.

Your UW GPA is below the average and your SAT is below the 25th%-tile. USC’s admit rate is supposedly down below 20% for the most recent class. I strongly urge you to consider USC a big reach. Your recommendations and essays need to be spectacular.

Does it mater if I’m going into a noncompetitive major? I will also be interviewing.

USC: Reach

Aim for 2100+/31+, otherwise put your act together in college for 2 years and then transfer (provided you do not want to attend USC for film or communications). Or you might want to attend USC for grad school instead.

Thank you guys  I think I just might go to a UC for 2 years and then transfer
