Your athletics might be more of a draw if you have won any national tournaments, are at Open level and are being recruited by the athletics department . Otherwise, your SAT and GPA are too low.

I don’t agree with “aunt bea” if you look at the accepted student threads then you would see that you definitely have a chance (maybe not viterbi).

See what @Weeknd doesn’t understand about Viterbi is that the engineering school has a relatively huge role in the admissions process. Each school has a certain number of students they have to admit, so you’re basically going against everyone else who’s applying to Viterbi (and it doesn’t matter what specific engineering major). Anyway, yes your GPA is low and your SAT scores are on the lower side (I believe 2100 is about the 50th percentile for all USC admitted students - which means Viterbi is higher) but your ECs are definitely good! If you can relate to them in your essays then I think you would be placed with the applicants with the high numbers! Note that the whole university has about a 19% acceptance rate so that doesn’t mean you will or will not get in

@redwall1521 All you did was flesh out why i said he/she might not get into Viterbi. I “understand” Viterbi’s role and I mean exactly what i said. You don’t understand

@Weeknd And isn’t Viterbi where the OP is applying to? So if he “maybe” doesn’t have a chance at getting in to Viterbi then how does he have a definite chance of getting in?

@Weeknd I believe only Viterbi has comp sci, unlike other schools such as UCB and UCLA. If you visit their website, it says it’s part of Viterbi.
