hmm, idk a lot about the school, but i think its a reach considering your ACT a bit far from the average. http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/whyut/profile/scores. also, your math level 2 is pretty low and i dont know your gpa, so thats all im basing my prediction on.

I don’t think UT cares much about your AP scores, essays, extracurricular, etc when it comes to admission. Your GPA and ACT/SAT score is all that matters. Your ACT is pretty low, it seems. I had a 32, and got in as an out-of-state student.

Her ACT is a 29. That is not “bad” - possible that the comments come from people reading your post as an ACT of 26, because that is what I thought first time I read it.

Granted the avg ACT for Engineering is a 31, but that is an average. http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/whyut/profile/scores

Female, in state, 6%. Females in Engineering are considered a URM, so I think you have a great chance! Good luck!

oops sorry for the confusion!! Thanks for the replies
I have a 3.9 GPA as well

You don’t have chemistry anywhere? Why chem eng?
