Chance me for UT english?

chance me for english at UT?

hi! i applied (non-auto, regular decision) as an english major and i’m experiencing extreme anxiety awaiting my decision. i’m hoping this will make me feel somewhat better. or not. anyways:

white female from a really competitive suburban dallas high school

rank 330/1701 (top 19%)

weighted GPA 4.02
uw GPA 3.56
(during my freshman and sophomore year my grades were lower than i would’ve liked due to undiagnosed ADHD. i detailed in the optional essay how i got a formal diagnosis and treatment at the beginning of junior year and my grades in math and science substantially improved + class rank rose 90 spots. there is an obvious improvement on my transcript as well)

ACT: 30 composite, 35 english, 35 reading, 26 science, 24 math (applied test optional bc i took my first and only one in december due to covid cancellations so was unable to submit to UT. if i don’t get in i may appeal with it)

destination imagination global finalist (6th) for science

the usual NHS/national art honor society

directed a few more short films accepted into state film festivals

worked 3 jobs since freshman yr (abt 25 hours a week), progressed to supervisor role

started an online business selling clothes during quarantine

10 APs (world history, us history, art history, psych, env sci, lang, lit, macro, gov, AB calc)
also took HL IB visual arts

essays: i like them but i was the one who wrote them, so.

rec letters: i think they were good. got one from my film teacher who had me for 3 years + my apush teacher who liked that i always asked insightful questions

idk. i feel like my ECs don’t really go with my major because they’re all film related. i thought i wanted to pursue film in college for the longest time but kinda lost my passion for it over quarantine and wanted to pursue something more realistic. lmk what you guys think  i really want to go to UT and it’s the only school i can see myself attending and enjoying. so far i’ve also applied and got in to UNT, UTD, and Arkansas, which were all safeties. i’m trying to stay in texas due to cost & would appreciate any advice or suggestions of a better match. thank you all in advance!

I think there’s a decent chance for UT. Here’s a twist though, that UT does quite often. They might send you to UTSA or UTA for a year through their CAP program. If you maintain a good GPA, you would be fully admitted to UT, and you can choose any liberal arts major you want. That’s what they would most likely do.
