Schools

  • Safety : Texas A&M (EA), Baylor (RD), Texas Tech (RD) , IU (One of my top choices, EA)
  • Match: Purdue (RD), UIUC (RD), University of Wisconsin (RD)
  • Reach: Boston College (EA), Northeastern (EA), Wake Forest (EA), UVA (EA), UT Austin (EA)

What’s your budget?

Are all these schools direct admit to the business school or do you apply after sophomore year? I don’t think UVA is direct admit to McIntire. Not guaranteed to get your program. Something to consider.

If IU is a safety and a top choice why apply to Purdue, UICU, or Wisconsin? Not an upgrade.

Wake Forest is a beautiful campus. What’s the appeal there?

Do you have direct flights to these college towns/cities? It can be a pain if you have layovers or limited flight availability.

If BC, Northeastern or Wake are affordable why not throw an app to Penn or NYU? UNC or Michigan?

Boston is a great college town.

I see 12 apps. I would pick 3 safeties. If IU, Texas A&M and Baylor are safeties then you’re ahead of the game. Then aim high. UT Austin would be a nice bonus to have as a choice.

Good luck.

Good point about purdue, UIUC, and Wisconsin. I’ll probably remove Wisconsin and Purdue. I’ve visited Wake Forest and really liked it. I also have family up there that have attended Wake. I probably should consider NYU, UNC, and UMich to my list, thanks for that. Hopefully I can get into UT Austin as its business program is amazing, however, it is going to be difficult to get in without being in the top 6% auto admit area. Thanks for the advice!

If you liked Wake then I’d think you’d like UNC.

Why not SMU? Top business school. You’d be a good candidate for their BBA scholars.

Notre Dame might be worth considering.

That said, this list has a lot of reaches but all it takes is one.

I’m personally not a big fan of SMU. It kind of draws in a crowd of snobby rich jerks, at least that’s what I’ve gotten from it. Also, I really don’t think the tuition is worth the price, that is if I don’t get a scholarship. I do appreciate your insight.
