ACT- 24
College GPA w/ 27 credit hours (will have 40 at the end of this semester)- 3.5
H.S. GPA- 3.89 (homeschooled)
ECs- Debate (finalist and club president), Journalism (yearbook editor), H.S. sport (team captain and national champion), Club sport (team captain, state champion, regional champion)
Work experience- Founded my own company and have made $40K gross sales, interned with big time company and traveled the globe to complete an international business transaction
Other things to note- Division 3 athletic recruit (I have given my commitment to this school), family income $250K, caucasian
Essay- 10/10
Letters of Rec- 10/10 (submitted 3)
Should add that my anticipated major is business administration.
The only thing that is detrimental is the 24 ACT score. You have great ECs and your GPA on college courses is solid. I think you have a good shot.
Thanks @GTAustin. I hope it does not keep me from getting in. I am not even concerned about scholarship $ at this point, just getting in.
If you’re going to pay retail for tuition, room & board, you should consider A&M. You have a better chance of getting into A&M. Average ACT is 26, whereas UTD is 28. And A&M is considered better than UTD for business.
And for the most part, no one cares about all the extra stuff. The UTD administration offices are way understaffed. How much time do you think they have to look into the details of the applicants?
