I’m a junior this year.

Took the SAT for the second time in March and I got 1810… (I’m just bad at test taking I guess and I barely studied :frowning: ) I will retake it in October though.
I will take two SAT Subject tests: Bio and U.S History
Live in VA, but many people in my class are planning to apply to UVA so hopefully the rumored quota is not true…

HOOKS:

First generation, first from my family to go to college, unique health issues I will mention in my essay, and my mom was diagnosed with hepatitis B during my high school career so that was emotionally difficult for me.

You’re a great candidate. Google UVA & Tech Common Data set and check the stats of first time first year students.
Engineering is tougher to get in to. If you get in to University Studies there are threads on here on how to transfer into Engineering at Tech. I think you have great chances but throw some applications to some lower tier Engineering schools. In VA that would be GMU and VCU. You have to have safeties. Good luck. My oldest son is a junior and stalking the same schools. But not Engineering.
