- I am applying regular from VA
- Class rank - 8/168
- GPA - 3.96
- All A's throughout HS (only recieved 2 B's freshman year)
- Very involved in school activities - FCCLA (VP), Beta, Yearbook, Student Govt., Hoco&Prom committees
- Outside of school activities - very involved in local church (handbell choir, church council), volunteer at local hospital for 5 years, part time job
- SAT scores - 1110 super (640 reading&writing, 470 math)
- Dual Enrollment - English, bio
- AP - US History, Spanish, Psych
- Essays - got them reviewed by 2 English teachers
- visited a BSN Info Session last spring
- older sisters graduated '11, '15, '16
When I attended the info session, they showed the acceptance rates and statistics (specifically for the nursing school) and out of 2,000 applicants only 64-68 are accepted (not all are completed, but all that are started). They are direct admit, so I know chances immediately become slimmer.
I know my SAT scores are not the best, but I’m hoping that grades, courses, EC, rec., and essays will make up for it!!
