I've pretty much maintained straight As freshman through junior year. However, I really regret not picking up more extracurriculars earlier on in high school. I had no idea that colleges placed so much emphasis on them; I really didn't find out until I discovered College Confidential. Likewise, I also had no idea of the power of community service on college applications; I thought doing it was limited to convicts or something. I've worked extremely hard in all of my classes these past three years, and I expect to work pretty damn hard my senior year as well.

I know I also need a science SAT Subject Test. I'll get to work on that soon.

I'm uncertain as to whether or not I have a chance at these higher-end colleges. What do you guys think?

rotcman doesn’t know what he is talkinga bout. Ivies and their equivalents expect high math SAT and SAT II scores especially for a prospective engineering major and a 680 and 740 doesn’t cut it.

UVA - low match
UC-Berkeley - Reach
Cornell - Reach
Carnegie Mellon - Low reach
Stanford - High Reach
MIT - High Reach

Those student of the year carry minimal weight, if you’re going to list them for awards, list them all in one category like school awards

Also, your application seems rather weak for MIT and Stanford

Berkeley - reach

but I would still encourage you to apply there
