Chance me for UVA, VTech, VCU, GMU??

Hi! I am currently a junior in a competitive school in Virginia (saying this because my GPA is very deflated). I’d really like to get into an instate school, but I’m thinking about out of state like UT Austin, and Boston University.

Current Cumulative GPA (up till sophomore year, 5.0 scale): 3.945 (probably worst part)
SAT (2400): haven’t taken yet but I’m anticipating above 2200
PSAT (2015): 1510/1520 (760 english, 750 math) --> pretty sure I would be a National Merit Finalist with that score
SAT II Math II: 770
SAT II Biology: 740
AP Calculus AB: 5
AP Biology: 3

Current APs: APUSH, AP Calculus BC, AP Macro/Micro, AP Chemistry
Senior Classes: AP Gov, AP Psych, AP Statistics, Geosystems, AP English Lang,

Extra Curricular:

  1. Internship at Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP), where I did my own research and helped out with my mentor’s as well. This was before my junior year and I am planning and coming back this summer as well.
  2. Amnesty International Historian (junior)
  3. Relay for Life
  4. Model UN (won multiple awards at international conferences)
  5. National Honor Society

Unfortunately, I also have one referral due to a mistake I made freshman year. It didn’t affect me at all, just a conversation with my counselor, but will colleges not want me because of this.

With those projected stats (very good PSAT by the way), you should have no problem getting into any of the schools you listed. If your GPA is deflated, then you must be going to a very good school. I’m actually a bit surprised you are not aiming a little bit higher. Your ec’s are a bit weak, but that shouldn’t overpower your academic stats. I’d be very surprised if you got rejected from any of your state schools.
