<p>I'm about to be a junior in high school and I want to go to UVA and major in Engineering.</p>

<p>Prior to High School:
Algebra I, Geometry, German I, German II</p>

<p>Freshman Year:
Classes: Gym, Algebra 2/Trig, Pre-AP World History, Earth Science Honors, English Honors, Intro to Business and Marketing, German III
Activities: Varsity Tennis, DECA, Key Club, Debate Team, German Club, German Honor Society, Creative Writing Club</p>

<p>Sophomore Year:
Classes: Computer Information Systems, German IV, Biology Honors, Math Analysis, English Honors, AP World History, Gym
Activities: Varsity Tennis, FBLA, Key Club, Math Honor Society, Math Competition Club, German Club, German Honor Society, Creative Writing Club</p>

<p>Junior Year:
Classes: Computer Math, AP Calculus AB, Physics, Chemistry, AP US History, AP Lang and Comp, Economics/Personal Finance
Activities: Varsity Tennis, FBLA, Key Club, Math Honor Society, Math Competition Club, German Club, Science Honor Society, possibly going to start my own club relating to community service, Creative Writing Club</p>

ACT: 29

<p>Very close. What were your math scores for the ACT and SAT? you should submit your test that best reflects your math skills</p>

<p>Look to retake some of your standardized tests. You’re looking for 2050+ on the SAT and/or 30+ ACT and two subjects that are 700+ (I know this sounds silly because you very close to these numbers already but meh, try it again). Assuming you are top 10% of a NOVA school or top 5% of a public school elsewhere in VA (can’t speak for the gov schools or privates) then you’re a solid admit imo.</p>

<p>I haven’t actually taken the ACT before, but I’m going to study for it. I was just putting a score down to see how high they want it to be.
SAT math score is 630.
I’m from northern VA.</p>

<p>Pretty decent chances, especially if in-state. Your chances would skyrocket if you just got your SAT scores up slightly (Hit that magic 2100 and you’re golden) and wrote a good essay.</p>

I kinda sorta knew 2 girls on the Valley team: Kara and Charlotte? I think they graduated…</p>
