10th grade - 93% ( top 5% in school, highest in Social sciences, 2nd in Science & Tech)
11th grade - 78%
12th grade (HSC) - 89% (top 5% in school)
School/ Board doesnt offer APs.
SAT - 2150 (Math- 790, CR - 700, Writing- 660)
TOEFL - 110
2 month long internship as a hardware support intern for a human resources agency, decent community service, vice captain of school’s football team, competitive gaming enthusiast ( Counter Strike), few other minor extracurriculars.
Good essays, good LORs.
I also applied to Stony Brook, Virginia Tech and UMass Amherst, intending to major in Computer Science.
Any help/suggestions/reviews will be greatly appreciated!
It’s not CBSE Board, its HSC (Maharashtra State) Board. The 11th grade examination was conducted by the junior college. A reco letter from my prof. does say that 11th exams are tougher in our college.
Also, Is Madison less likelier than Georgia Tech?
Madison’s SAT 75th %- 2070
Ga Tech’s SAT 75th %- 2240
My high school is actually not even listed in any of the lists ( ETS , SAT, CommonApp). Extracurricular opportunities were quite limited. Although I’ve not mentioned anything about this in my app, would the committees notice this? I’m currently in my gap year and have a good story around it, so my essays are quite good. Suggestions?
oh haha I think I switched the 2 You still have a great chance though it’s not like that’s the 25th %. No, you probably should have put the lack of opportunities in your additional info. I would email the unis and tell them.
