I’m wondering what my chances of getting into the University of Wisconsin Madison are. I will tell you as much as I can about myself so you get a better idea. I’m from Minnesota and don’t know if UW Madison prefers out of state kids.

Your GPA and ACT score are not the best. You also only took 1 AP class, and AP Psych has the reputation of being the “easiest AP class”. So I recommend working really hard on that essay to impress them. And about your question on out of state kids, Madison is starting to accept more OOS students and from personal experience, most of them have stats lower than in states (NOT all, just the ones I’ve met). And the reason is obviously $$.
