I'm afraid that my SAT score will prevent me from getting into UW ):

Are there any schools, in your opinion, that matches my stats?

Thank you!

Note that specific majors (e.g. computer science) are significantly harder to get into as a declared freshman than getting into the university as an undeclared freshman. Trying to declare those majors later faces another highly competitive admissions process.

Thank you, I plan on getting in as an undeclared freshman, working my butt off, and then declaring a major. Granted, I hope I know what I want to do by then.

Would it make sense to be a math major if I’m not particularly talented, but just above decent?

Note that a lot of majors have higher admission requirements to declare at Washington:
[UW Advising - List of Majors](http://www.washington.edu/uaa/advising/majors/majoff.php)

As far as the math major goes, do you like math, and have you done decently well in it? If your high school geometry course emphasized proofs, did you like and do well in it?

Honestly, I don’t remember since that was freshman year, but I know that AP Calc AB isn’t difficult for me at the moment. Thank you for the link and your contribution! You’ve got me seriously considering my major which is what I needed.
