Your stats are great, but Vandy is really affirmative action. My brother’s friends was a white male with a 4.0UW, a 34 ACT, and good ECs, but he still didn’t get into Vandy. And moonman676 is right—a 3.9 is very high.

Please post your results - because I think you look like your chances are great!

My daughter is a year behind you, hispanic midwestern female.

She has GPA of 3.3, with a 4.0 over her junior year. She had a bad freshman year, for reasons which can be explained. This brought down her overall GPA. She is taking ACC English and Spanish this year, ACC English, Spanish, and History Senior year.
Her EC’s are:
Varsity Soccer
Fencing Team
Theater Intern – Crew Leader Makeup-- Supervised crew of 5 members
Marketing Team
Yearbook–Editor - Activities section
Concert Choir
Book Club
Film Club
Junior League Junior Member
Annual Bible Camp- staff

Her last ACT was 30, she will re-take in April and has a tutor. What can she do to increase her chances? Anything?
