Chance me for Vanderbilt/Tufts Please?

I just submitted my ED form for Vanderbilt and am kind of freaking out, I'd love to know what kind of shot I have for getting in... Please let me know! If I am rejected from Vandy, I expect to apply EDII to Tufts.

AP Grades: APUSH - 4
AP World- 5
AP Lang- 5
AP Physics B- 4

Courses:
Hardest Available, including the Hardest AP's offered, took 2 separate languages throughout all of highschool, only regular class was that took one regular math class junior year.
This Year: Hardest Courses offered at my school, first quarter grades ALL A's. Taking 7 APs and 1 Honors.

Recommendations: My counselor's will be good for a good student, my teachers will be excellent (both will say I am one of the brightest they have encountered), and I have a character recommendation from the Head of the Special Education Department because of my work with her program.

Essay will be very good and will explain my poor grades, I've been working on it for a while.

Any thoughts? I'm applying ED and I'd love to know my chances. 2 other kids from my school are applying ED, one who has good GPA but not difficult classes, and another who is about on par with me, but less EC. Ill chance you back, just post your link!!!

If your HS FH team was any good and wanted to play in college Tufts could be a good match.

Thanks! I put down I want to play in college, and my team is currently making our way through playoffs, however I’m not looking to go through the recruiting process.
If anyone else wants to help out I have more colleges that I’m trying for! (for EA and RD)
Umich EA
Villanova EA
Tulane EA
NYU (legacy like 5x over)
Wake Forest
UNC
BC
Washington & Lee
Richmond
Northwestern

UMich should be a match, same with NYU b/c of legacy. Tufts EDII should be high match, vandy will be a low reach even with ED

I think you definitely have the drive to succeed in College. However the Vanderbilt is very competitive. Your Act score is high and your Sat score is more than enough for vandy or just about all non-ivy league colleges and your Ecs seem fine, but your Gpa is a doesn’t stand out as much as the other stats. However that is a very good Gpa- Especially since you are taking the hardest courses available. All in all, I think you have a good chance of getting in. Good Luck!

I would say very good chance at all!

you’re in :)

My friend got into vanderbilt regular decision last year with a 3.7 / 4.1 weigted with a 2200. His extra curricular consisted of many varsity sports and some violin. I think you have a good shot as well!

Thanks guys! I really do appreciate it!! I hope I can get in, I know i have better test scores than everyone who is applying from my school, but my grades are definitely an issue. Hopefully a killer essay will make up for that!

vandy is very gpa/score based, and in regard to test scores you’re set. your gpa is a litte low, but with ED and your class rigor i think it would be a low reach
