LOL the fact that you have so many APs and your SATs are high I would say you have a pretty darn good chance at Vanderbilt. But I would think about applying for another safety school you really like.

thanks! what safety schools do you think are in my range? just some examples?

Anywhere from Fordham (although IMO thats a really low low safety), BU, or any UCs obviously except for Berkeley/LA cause their a bit tougher if youre not in state. Another state college might be a good safety if you live in a state with good public schools~

that’s so helpful thankya

Ok chances. gpa on the low side and ec’s not phenomenal, but may be enough to get you in. make sure you have safeties.

“gpa on the low side” my butthole…

But uh yeah I’d apply with confidence… I won’t chance because I’m no good at it but I think that I won’t be shocked if we both end up being accepted to Vandy together.

great chance i’d say. i think your stats are strong, and your rank should be good with a gpa like that. i’m going to apply to vandy too, although my stats are not anywhere near yours. best of luck!

you think? that’s awesome!
thanks you guys
what else do you recommend i do to improve my chances? espesh this upcoming summer…and what would be some match schools for me?

I think you have a high chance of getting in. In fact, I’d be surprised if you were rejected. Just make sure your essays are top-quality. I know that Vanderbilt and other top colleges are placing more emphasis on personal essays these days.
As for matches, any state school would be glad to accept you as well as award you with scholarships, and most private schools are within your reach. You could probably get into a few Ivies and top NE schools as well, if that’s something you’d like.

chance back a fellow nervous junior?

good idea. i’ll get started on the essays this summer. hmm i feel like the ivies are a bit out of reach for me but if i do consider any, any suggestions as to which ones?

LOL @dblazer - “GPA on the low-side” ■■■■■ yeah right
