Please. Any suggestions for making this better? My recommendations should be close to flawless. Vandy is my dream school. Any essay tips? Thanks!

Dream schools need to be most of all financially feasible, so make sure you have been doing some FAFSA estimations and your parents have taken a look at the CSS Profile required by Vandy and many other private institutions before they make decisions regarding financial aide. It is just a waste of energy and emotion to go after a dream college if your family will opt out for a better deal and will not accept their estimated Cost of Attendance. (speaking from not doing this step before applications with son number one)

Your excellent ACT is no longer unusual at Vanderbilt. You are employed this summer, good. If you do not nail 4s and 5s on your AP exams, would suggest that you sign up in the fall term for SATII Subject exams and that you prep for them with books. They are only an hour long but do require practice.

For your essays, if you have any plans whatsoever on how you might opt to use Vanderbilt’s academic pathways, by all means try to project how you would use the classrooms, majors, minors and how you would contribute to the world that is Vandy in other ways.

best of luck. With your HS record you will have stellar state flagship honors college offers and you should go for other private schools as well once you have vetted out their financial aid.

Vandy is need blind and loan free now in its undergrad FA packages.
