Applying to:

U of Michigan, Purdue, Northwestern, IU, Cornell U, IUPUI, Notre Dame, UChicago, UCLA, Bowdoin, Stanford, Harvard.

I want to apply for something like environmental science or ecology or something around that field. Thank you!

I think your GPA, class rank, classes, ECs and ACT score are all very strong. Your SAT IIs are also incredible! I think Purdue, Indiana and IUPUI are definitely safety schools for you. You should have a pretty good chance of getting in to schools like Bowdoin, ND, UCLA, Michigan, NW and Cornell. However, UChicago, Stanford, Harvard are too tough to tell just because their acceptance rates are so low- an incredible essay would give you a fighting chance there. I see no downsides to your application from looking at your stats- your stats are all very high and your leadership and commitment to your ECs is also very apparent. You are doing an incredible job and you will be accepted into many prestigious universities in my opinion.

Your state and your income will work in your favor for admissions. I agree with @chicagocubs as far as your chances. The private schools you listed give great financial aid and will likely give you a full ride, but I’m not sure how much you’ll get from UCLA.

Best of luck! I’m sure your hard work will pay off come admissions time.

I think that this is a good list.

You might want to run the NPC on each school on the list and see whether your parents squawk at the result.

Congratulations on doing very well to this point.

You could get very good merit money at IUPUI with those stats (possibly full tuition, fees, books, and 2 years of housing) through the Honors College.

You have a very good chance at most of these schools. Your academic qualifications are absolutely stellar and your ECs are pretty impressive as well, though I suggest, if you can, maybe get involved in a few more this summer that are related to your intended major. Stanford and Harvard are pretty much your only real “high reaches” simply because they are so selective. Improving your ECs will really help (though you already have great ones) and so will writing killer essays. Your recs seem solid so there’s nothing to worry about there. If you do happen to get into these private schools, you are likely to get some really good financial aid given your household income. Good luck! You will get no financial aid from UCLA as an OOS applicant. You might qualify for Regents or Chancellor scholarships but these are small amounts/year in comparison to the overall costs of $60K/year.
