<p>SAT II: 760 U.S. History 620 Biology(took it as a freshman):(</p>

<p>Nationality: Egyptian(URM?) Dual Citizenship</p>

<p>State: Upstate New York</p>

<p>My major(s): Mathematics, Neuroscience, or History and Pre Med Requirements</p>

<p>GPA: 97.16 </p>

<p>Rank 17/399 (Top 5%)</p>

<p>AP Classes Taken: </p>

<p>U.S. History- 5
(Note- Because of block scheduling, our school doeesn't offer many AP classes and makes it close to impossible to take more than 1 or 2 until Senior Year, although I am not really sure if colleges will know about this)</p>

-Advanced Regents Diploma(Scored a 90+ on 8 state exams for each subject)
-High Honor Roll
-Lawrence Technological University Scholarship Nomination for Mathematics</p>

<p>Recomendations will be descent, but not expecting anything spectacular.</p>

<p>Essay will be on how elderly care has impacted me and made me a better person. By doing so, I am embellishing more on an extracurricular activty.</p>

<p>Do I have a chance for Vassar or New York Univeristy?</p>

<p>Are Egyptians a URM even though I listed white on the Common App and specified I was an Egyptian?</p>

<p>Is there any possibility that I can get the Martin Luther King Scholarship for minorities from New York University based on my stats?</p>

<p>Vassar is a reach, NYU is probably an in.</p>

<p>and decent is spelled decent, not descent.</p>

<p>You would unfortunately not be considered a URM. While you may well be accepted into NYU, I would not count on any aid as yup need pretty high stats for that.l Vassar, much better chance if you’re male.</p>

<p>As someone already said, Vassar is going to be tough with those scores. Maybe there is someplace similar that’s a little easier to get into. Skidmore maybe? NYU seems more likely. Muhlenberg, Gettysburg, Susquehanna.</p>
