For what it’s worth most of my son’s friends in HS tried to discourage him from going to VT saying that his grades, SAT scores etc were “too high”. He’s had a great experience at VT both in his classes and with a good group of friends that he met. VT is generous with AP credit so he’s going to be able to graduate in 3 years. He’s also had his choice of internships in Silicon Valley, NYC, and the Seattle area (CS major).
