Glad to hear you’re interested in W&M and plan to apply ED. You noted that you were ethnically female but your gender is male. Guessing one of those is a typo…lol.

Anyway, does your school use block scheduling? We ask because you’re only taking four academic classes your senior year and generally we prefer to see more than that. Or are you taking more classes you didn’t list? Did you take physics and the fourth level of a foreign language previously? Those courses indicate a more challenging curriculum.

You currently rank outside the top 10%. 80% of our students graduate within the top 10% so send your first quarter grades. If they’re strong that will be helpful.

We would recommend retaking the SAT. Right now you’re just oustide our middle 50% (1250-1450 on Critical Reading + Math). 1250 is not a minimum requirement but it can only help you if your scores go up. Take the October 1 exam. Those scores generally arrive in time to be considered for ED.

Given your involvement in dance, consider sending a fine art submission to our dance faculty for review. If they like what they see that can be a plus factor for you. ([William & Mary - Arts Submissions](http://www.wm.edu/admission/undergraduateadmission/applicationprocess/artssubmissions/index.php))

Remember, W&M is highly-selective but also holistic. Every student has a chance for admission because we don’t apply any mathematical formula or minimum criteria to our process but students should also manage their expectations realizing that we admit only one-third of our applicants.

Good luck.
