You have a chance at Tulane, but you will need a strong application and to show lots of interest. Tulane prides itself on: (1) community service; (2) interdisciplinary studies; (3) happy students and quality of life; (4) New Orleans, of course; (5) and particular academic strengths such as the liffe sciences and neuroscience in particular, biomedical and chemical engineering (they’re also promoting Engineering Physics lately – see the new accompanying certificates if you are interested), and international studies, Latin American in particular. Tulane is also big on undergraduate opportunities for research. You will be in good shape if you seek out a department or professor and already have an idea in mind for a the type of research you’d like to participate in. Visit if you can afford it. Best of luck to you!
