ED or RD? and have you done an interview?
RD
Your grades are low but your ECs are strong. Also, first gen Nigerian American is a strong hook. Put a decent amount of time in the app. Lots of short questions that are not your standard " Why Wake…?" They value good writing skills.
Good luck
I think your chances are low RD. if you went ED1 they would be much better. With your grades and test optional, I think you are most likely low chance in ED.
Does your High School send many students to highly selective schools?
I agree with above poster @BrianBoiler - I think you should strongly consider applying ED as it will boost your admission chances. Roughly 36% acceptance rate for ED students vs 24% RD. You do have minority status in your favor and that is a huge boost - but your class rank is low for Wake (You’re in top 30%, whereas 70-80% of accepted Wake students are in top 10% of their class.) When you choose not to submit test scores, you need a strong GPA and hopefully class rank. I think chances for acceptance through RD are going to be low. Definitely make sure your app is strong - essays, recommendations, etc. and think about ED for an admissions boost.
