I'm a white female from Pennsylvania. I have all A's and B's in four AP classes this year, an 1820/2400 on the SAT I, and a weighted GPA of about 4.5. Next year I will be taking 4 AP classes as well. I do two theatre productions a year, am an active member of speech and debate team at school, volunteer at an animal shelter, and go on missions trips with my church. I have visited and am flying back this summer to interview before hopefully applying Early Decision. Do I have a chance? I want to go to Wake so bad.

where else are you looking at?

I’m also applying to JMU, Gettysburg, and U Delaware (all safeties).

I don’t comment on “chances” because great applicants are sometimes denied and applicants who seem like they would be denied are occasionally accepted (especially since Wake’s application process takes SO much more into consideration than many other schools’ processes), but I think that ED is definitely the way to go if you think Wake is for you. It shows a school that you’re serious about it, which is always a plus (especially if you end up getting deferred; the second time around the choice to go ED is taken into consideration).

Let us know how the interview goes! Best of luck! <3
