Hello, everyone, first time poster here. I am a High School Junior attending a very small private school in rural Alabama. Lately, I have been worried to death over college admissions. I aspire to go into law, and Washington and Lee University has somewhat caught my eye. I have seen that this university has an extremely low acceptance rate, so I would love to have some input as to if I have even a remote chance to go. If you do judge that I would have a chance, do you think that I would be eligible for any financial aid or scholarships from the school? I ask this because, even if accepted, paying even half the tuition would be impossible for my family.

I plan to take the ACT, SAT and PSAT soon, and I will post the relevant information when I receive it.

I do not know if this may count for anything, but a teacher's husband, a successful local lawyer, attended W&L, and is good friends with the several of the senior staff at the school. He has stated that he would be more than happy to write a letter of recommendation for me, and has stated that, in his opinion, I should have no trouble getting in. Still, I am being quite pessimistic.

I will be adding onto this post as I collect more information. Thank you so much for reading. If you would like any more information, please feel free to post and ask, as I would be happy to supply it to you.

Cheers!
