Chance me for Wellesley ED please!

Hi all! Thank you for taking the time to read this tediously long post and please don’t be afraid to comment and tell me that I won’t get in at either of these places >.< . My high school is the #1 public school in my state, I did not take honors physics, I dropped off of the honors english path after freshman year to focus on music, did not take AP Biology junior year, could not take AP Spanish because of a scheduling conflict but I am a native spanish speaker and am planning on independently studying and taking the AP at the end of the year, and other than that have taken all of the hardest courses available. My cumulative GPA is 3.76 and my school doesn’t do rankings/honors. I’m applying early decision to Wellesley. Thanks for your help!

I’m no expert, but neither is anyone on this site, unless there is a Wellesley Ad Comm person here. Stuff that might help: do a music supplement, since this is clearly a strength for you. My daughter is a junior at Wellesley and she is also a musician (voice and piano) and during orientation, when she went for her audition for choir and lessons, someone on the music faculty asked her why she hadn’t sent in a recording with her application, so clearly, they really do care about these things. Contact someone in the department even before you apply.

Talking to a music faculty member may also give you something unique to add to your Why Wellesley essay.

You should also do an interview–that has a significant impact on their decision. If you can’t get to campus, there should be an alumna in your area.
