Hello everyone, I have absolutely no idea what my chances are on getting accepted to Wellesley ED, so I would really appreciate getting feedback from all of you.

I have dual citizenship, currently living in Spain
IB bilingual diploma candidate- predicted score around mid 30´s
I have either a 5 or 6 in every class- except Math where I have a 3
didn´t pass math for 1 semester in my sophmore year- but made it up

EC´s: head of a school run charity, model united nations- award best delegate at a conference, girls varsity soccer captain

SAT- very low- around mid 500´s in all categories, making it up in September
subject tests: 800 in Spanish, 530 in Biology
pretty good writing skills overall

Thank you for all your help in advance

I’m not sure how exactly Spain’s grading system works, so it’s hard to tell there. I’m also no expert on the IB curriculum. But one thing’s for sure: you NEED to get those SAT scores up. Competitive applicants will have high 600s and above.

Also I feel that an 800 in the Spanish subject test will hurt you a little, since it appears to be a free pass since you live in Spain and all. I doubt Wellesley will really like that.

Hi Quesadillagirl,

I would be concerned that your low math grade, including having failed a class, in conjunction with your low SAT scores, will make Wellesley a reach for you.

I agree with boxofcereals. While the SAT isn’t the single most important factor, it can be an indication of likelihood of admission. Check out Wellesley’s SAT stats: [Standardized Testing | Wellesley College](http://www.wellesley.edu/admission/apply/faq/testing) . Scroll to the bottom of the page for the specific breakdowns. You’ll notice that applicants whose scores were in the 500’s were unlikely to be admitted.
