My counselor told my I had great recs and everyone whose read it says my essays amazing and social justice-y. i'm not trying to sound cocky... i'm sure a lot of people's are better. I also interviewed.

thanks so much guys! really appreciate it. I would be ecstatic if i got in.

Wesleyan’s a pretty tough school to get into. You have the SAT score and AP test grades. EC’s are alright, could use a bit more leadership. If your recs are great and essays are above ave, plus you interviewed, I’d say you have a 20/80 chance. I can’t lie, their admissions have been dropping lately, and it’s a tough, TOUGH school to get into with that GPA.

That said, you should always try and hope for the best. I think your safeties and other schools are good choices and you should get in to half of them. You’re very competitive for your other schools if you have solid essays and good recs. Try to get more leadership and involvement with ECs.

I would take SAT again to do better on math and superscore with that. GPA isn’t great, but SAT scores are good and EC are good. Also, interviews are always better.

I definitely think you have a chance you def have good EC’s and great test scores. But then again I’m not very familiar Wesleyan. Best of luck!!!

I’m not one to tell you whether or not you’ll actually receive an acceptance letter from Wesleyan or not, but you might as well give it a shot. Your SAT scores are in the range that Wesleyan typically considers. The only thing that might not sit well with them is your GPA, which is quite frankly a little low. Nonetheless, I believe that your SAT’s and pretty good EC’s make you a good contender for the school. Leadership is always a great thing to have on an application in terms of EC’s. If you have time this year, I suggest that you start a small organization on something that you enjoy doing to make it less of a painful task. Founder of a successful organization looks superb on applications! Please chance me!

Good chances! Don’t bother retaking the SAT, it’s fine! I will suggest some reading though that I think you’ll enjoy! It’s called The Gatekeepers and it’s all about admissions at Wesleyan (and other top tier schools)! Good luck!

I think you have a shot, but not a great one. Averaging out your GPA, SATs, ECs, service work and essays this is around the average for Wesleyan.
