Thanks!

Bump…

My nerves are killing me cause all my friends are getting their early decisions back, and I regret not applying ED to Penn-Wharton.

Can anyone let me know if my ECs and lack of hooks will result in getting rejected from these schools?

Bump again. Anyone wanna take a stab at any one of the schools I listed? I’m most curious about UPenn.

Bump…anyone?

You have an excellent test score, an outstanding GPA, well rounded ECs that revolve around business, probably strong recommendations, and a unique essay. What more is there to show to colleges… I think you’re set for a life time. However, Harvard and Wharton might be reaches to everyone, so be careful. Good luck and thank you for the chancing =)

Wharton at Penn, Harvard, Columbia: Reach (for everyone)
Rice, Carnegie Mellon, Emory (goizuetta business scholar), Wash U: Match (I would be surprised if you didn’t get in)
UVA, College of William and Mary: I’d say you’re pretty much in

Honestly, I think you have a great chance at the Ivies even though they’re still a crapshoot for everyone. Your ACT/GPA are near-perfect, and definitely will not be a problem. Don’t worry about not having “breadth”. Colleges are much more interested in focused ECs that show your passion, and yours definitely highlight your interest in business. If the adcoms like your essays, I’d say you have a really good chance.

Don’t stress yourself out! I’m sure you’ll get into an amazing school and excel wherever that may be. Btw, thanks for the chance!

bump…

/10char

Quality application!

You know this already haha:
Ivy league-always a reach
Everywhere else-you’ll most likely get in

Bumpity bumpp

Looks promising, especially if your essays are as good as you say

I think you have a really good shot anywhere, but the fact that your ECs are so finely tailored to business will definitely help you with Wharton. If you applied ED there, I’d say you were probably (not “certainly” or anything like that, but maybe 60%?) in. I’d still put your chances pretty high now though, and I expect you to get into most - if not all - of your other “matches”/“safeties”.

Thanks for the chance!

You should have the best chance at Wharton out of all the Ivies, given all your business-related ECs

The rest seem like match/safeties for you

Your scores are great. I had a friend who did ED columbia with a ~1900 SAT and got in with hooks (black female first-gen). Definitely talk about that small business thing a little more. All ivies are reaches, but you’re definitely qualified.

bump bump bump

Like everyone else said ivy leagues are reaches for everyone…however, you have a very impressive resume and I believe that you would be able to get into any of the universities outside of the ivy colleges…good luck!

wow really good stats
i’m not going to say more concerning your qualifications since everyone else pretty much covered that but any ivy league especially wharton penn is difficult for everyone
had a kid with your stats in my school who was a nationally ranked chess player rejected from wharton and a kid with much lower stats get in…so good luck and whatever the outcome its not a reflection of who u are
chance me 2 please

your stats are very strong and some schools (ie William and Mary) are pretty much guaranteed to accept you. I think you have a very good chance at Wharton; Your interest in business is very clear in your EC’s and such. The only thing I would suggest is to make yourself seem more real. Your near-perfect scores and spotless resume might not reflect you as a person. Ivies and top schools like to see people who will become involved in and advance the community around them.

Wharton at Penn - Reach
Harvard - Reach
Columbia - Reach
Rice - Match
U of C - Match
Babson - Safety
Ross at Michigan - Safety
Carnegie Mellon - Match
Emory - Match
UVA - Match
College of William and Mary - Match/Safety
Wash U - Match

You’ve got great chances! Don’t worry about not applying ED to Wharton. I’m sure you’ll do well!

As everyone else said, you should get in everywhere but the Ivy’s. I could easily see you getting into at least one of the 3, though.
