You should get into all but Ivies. Your chances are strong even there, but their admissions are somewhat random.

UChicago - Accepted, unaware of how much merit-based scholarship right now
Babson - Accepted, 21k per year (half-tuition, best scholarship that you don’t have to apply for)
UMich - Accepted (learn if I got into Ross in April, unaware of any scholarship right now)

Even though I felt like I would get in, that definitely helped calm me down. Anyone care to chance now, if Chicago is indicative of my essay quality (I don’t know if it is or not)?

You have an outstanding resume and I believe a great shot at the ivies. Though as others said, they are a crap shoot for everyone so nothing is 100% certain.

Help me out too? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1260515-chance-senior-georgetown.html

I think that you’d be a great candidate. However, you have great SATs so you might want to send them anyway because sometimes you’ll fall on someone who dislikes the ACT…and you wouldn’t want bias to possibly hurt your chances. Also your course load and transcript are ivy-quality in my opinion. However, Ivies all depend on your essay because they get tons of candidates like you. However, you definitely have a good chance!! Good luck http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1261160-please-chance-me.html

^ Yeah, I realized that a few schools on my list wanted ALL my test scores, so I sent everything. My counselor had told me had already sent them an “unofficial” version because he thought it wouldn’t hurt, so I decided there was no harm.

My essays are the thing I worked the most on, and I’m definitely very proud of them. I don’t know if colleges will think they’re as great as I do, but the essays were the part of this application process that I had the most control over.

Thanks for the chance; I just chanced you back!

I would definitely be surprised if you didn’t make it into Rice. I had a friend with lower test scores and less extracurricular activities who was accepted there last year. Good luck!

Wow, your profile is very strong! We are both the same ethnicity shooting for Wharton, too! Haha xD

Anyways, I am going to say what I can, which is limited as I am from MA so I don’t know much about Illinois acceptances.

I do think that your longest shots are Harvard and Columbia, and Wharton/Uchicago (if this is U of C) is a high reach, as it is for anyone, but mostly because you are an Indian male…

I am very confident that you are in at Babson, as it would be a safety for me.

^ yeah, I don’t know why I refer to it as U of C since it’s an archaic slang term. I did get in EA to UChicago, and I just realized, with your grouping it with Wharton and me reading the EA acceptance rates, that getting into UChicago was a much bigger accomplishment than I originally gave myself credit for :).

Time to try and forget about all the rest of these colleges until April.

Thanks for chancing me.

You have great stats and your small business shows your capability/interest in the business world. I think you have good chances at all of your schools, but as everyone has said already, the ivies are always a reach.

Good luck!

bump bump bump

Everyone is saying ivys are crapshoots for anyone, but I’d say they are definitely less so for you. You literally have everything anyone could want in a college application. I’d say you get into every school you’re applying to except maybe 1 or 2 ivies.

How many does Penn usually take at your school? Did it not already accept two people early at your school? You could check the acceptance history.

pretty much a toss up…yeah you probably should have applied ED

Your stats really are quite outstanding. Although Ivies are considered reaches for everyone, I bet you’ll get accepted to nearly all of the schools you applied to.

I would greatly appreciate it if you commented on my thread, which I included a link to below.

While I wait for the Ivies on March 29, I thought I would bump this with an update.

I’ve gotten into Rice, UChicago, Preferred Admission to Ross at UMich, UVA (OOS), William and Mary, Wash U, and Babson.

Other than being denied the Goizueta Scholarship, I have a pretty good track record. Still waiting on those pesky Ivies.

Wasn’t expecting it, but waitlisted at Tepper School of Business @ Carnegie Mellon University.

Got into Emory. Now, I’m just waiting for the 3 Ivies tomorrow.

So freaking nervous!

Me too bro- tomorrow should be interesting haha

4 more hours. GAHHHH.

May the odds ever be in your favor.
