<p>Planning to apply to Wharton and M&T just as a shot in the dark. Let me know what you think!</p>

<p>Pursued Concentration: Behavioral Econ and Environmental Management </p>

<p>GPA: UW: 3.83 W: 4.23, IB Diploma Candidate</p>

<p>Rank: School only ranks top 10%, which I am in</p>

<p>ACT: 34 (R 35, E 34, M 34, Sci 34), Super score 35 (Same score as previous test, except M 36)</p>

<p>Subject Tests: Took them in Nov so not sure </p>

<p>AP Scores: English (5) Calc AB (4) APUSH (4) Chem, Stats, (3), taking BC Cal at the moment </p>

<p>Major Leadership Positions: President and Founder of Business Professionals of America since 9th grade, President and Founder of Students Against Destructive Decisions since 9th grade (I lead red ribbon week every year for the entire K-12), Junior Assistant Scoutmaster for two years, Class Secretary, serve on MUN (Model United Nations) Secretariat</p>

<p>Major Awards: Best In Nation for the Verizon Innovative Application Challenge, created the application with MIT's Media Lab (application is an interactive Carbon Footprint Calculator), MIT Zero Robotics (4th in the nation, 7th international), Eagle Scout, Global Social Cooperative Challenge Semifinalist, Presidential Service Award - Gold (5 times), over 1500 hours in community service, Best Delegate in Dallas Area Model United Nations, Best Delegate at North Texas High School Model Arab League </p>

<p>Work Experience: Intern for sustainability department at UNT, will be receiving rec letter from the director of the department; Intern for a start up created by an MIT grad, have been interning since 9th grade as a Business Analyst and will receive a rec letter from him ; started a non-profit organization with my friend to help raise money for a child rehabilitation camp in Afghanistan raising over $3000</p>

<p>I know my AP Scores/GPA aren't great, but I don't know how much emphasis Wharton/M&T places on GPA/AP..</p>

<p>The Statistics 3 is a major setback. Wharton’s admissions rep said in person that AP Stats was the most important class they look for in applicants. I would recommend applying to a different major as the 3.83 would probably result in a defer or waitlist at best, and your stats seem like they are more geared toward an engineering major at MIT. Calc AB 4 is also troubling. </p>
