What are my chances for Wharton ED??
how about Penn CAS??
I think my ECs are a little bit weak especially toward business related activities
And I took summer courses in Penn and instructor (Penn graduate student) of the course
agreed to write me a glowing recommendation, would this help??
He has a really good impression of me because it was a six-week real college course and I did really well even though I had to compete with actual Penn students, some rising juniors

Very good SAT scores, but your ECs seem a bit scattered. You should focus more on the investment/business/economics related ECs to show that you really want to go to Wharton

i heard it’s really easy to transfer over to wharton once you get into CAS after a year. 3.8 gpa with any classes and youre automatically in. no essay, no ec’s, no recommendations. nonetheless, make your essay speak out— it’s what they look at the most. don’t stress abouut the ECs as much (although you do lakc a lot of leadership)

You seem like a very strong candidate, though you really know with places like Wharton. In regards to “business oriented” ECs, don’t fret, you have plenty. Wharton is not expecting you to have started a business, interned at Goldman Sachs, and balanced the budget of your state - they simply want leadership; applying ED to Wharton expresses an obvious interest in Business, and you have leadership. Penn CAS is a mid-reach I’d say.

Also in regards to puremn’s comment, I can assure you it is very wrong. While transferring is a completely objective process, it all depends on the spots that open up in Wharton, and very few people choose to leave Wharton. People who want to transfer to Wharton are used to fill the available spots, the highest GPA’s getting priority. A “3.8 gpa with any classes” most certainly does NOT guarantee you a spot in Wharton from CAS. Apply ED to Wharton, you have really good chances.
