I really want to show that I am passionate about wharton because I genuinely am, growing up I just loved talking about finance with my dad and discussing them in world affairs club. But I just don't know if I went a little overboard

chance as an ED and a RD?
thank you

I hope you are joking about your SAT scores being a “weakness.” Your stats and ECs both appear great. I believe you have as good of a chance as anyone.

Regarding your 2nd post, ED has a significantly higher acceptance rate (26% this cycle). Penn especially recommends legacy applicants apply early.

Well, your parent works at Penn and you have legacy, so you’re in. Normally, I’d say okay-ish chance for Wharton, because it seems in line with all other Wharton prospective applicants (including mine lol), but with those 2 things, congrats! Welcome to Wharton!

Your stats are great, overall great & impressive! Also one thing that distinguishes you is that you are sincerly interested in Business. I am also planning to apply to Wharton 2014. RD you already have a great chance, but if you are sure you want to go to Wharton more than any other school applying ED won’t hurt. Being a legacy is a big, BIGGGGG plus! I see no reason why you shouldn’t get in with the exception of one. Many Universities want diversity. Please to not take any offense as none is implied, and I am not racist, but a large amount of applicants to Universities are Asian women. Public Universities like UC’s cannot “discriminate” or decide based on race, but as seen how prestigious Universities want diversity they can have that as a factor. That said I still don’t think it will hurt your chances. Legacy>>>>>>>> Asian. (Being a legacy recompensates the racial factor by a million-fold). Again no offense intended. I am sure you will get in. You desrve it because you genuinely love Business. Good luck! If you have any tips for me I would enjoy to hear from you.
