I thrive in math and physics and really enjoy those classes whereas i have a passion for community service. I know that i want to be in business but i also have lingering thoughts on pre-med (neurosurgeon) or an engineer!
Could you please chance me for Wharton, and furthermore let me know if you think i am a viable candidate for either huntsmann, Vag or M&T( i cant choose between them!!) or if i shouldnt bother applying at all- the stats all over these forums are so impressive :/

You have good scores but probably not high enough. I suggest you have several safety schools as you will probably be rejected.

Your scores are solid and service record is impressive. Id you would have a decent chance as Wharton (as always IVY admission are a bit of a crap-shoot), but you don’t seem to be Math obsessed enough to have much chance at the M&T program. I don’t know much about the other two so I won’t comment.

You definitely are a viable candidate.

Scores and GPA are on or above par.
Extracurics look great, but you almost have TOO much on the table. Colleges prefer depth vs. breadth often times.

Focus on your volunteer work in your essays. Penn loves that. Talk about what you will bring to the college. I did a lot of volunteer work as well and mentioned a number of actual programs on campus I would like to be a part of.

Also talk about your love for business. Wharton is THE business school of the country. It’s good to be well-rounded and love everything else, but if you’re going to wharton, business should be your #1. (Unless you’re doing M&T, in which case engineering can be #1 and Business can be #2 haha)

Best of luck to you. Make sure you start your essays early, and remember the Ivies are luck of the draw. You have a chance, but don’t be bummed if you don’t get in.

I always get a kick when people ask “what are my chance at …” Getting into Wharton, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, are all extremely hard and there is no magic formula giving the 8% acceptance rate at wharton. Getting in is almost like a lottery since 60% of the applicants are just as qualified to get in.

There is a certain prerequisite to be considered in that “lottery” of acceptance, and yes, I believe that you deffinetly are qualified to be considered in it! Now goodluck getting you name picked out of the magic hat. lol

urm1216 is spot on!
