Obviously your gpa/test scores are absolutely incredible, but I feel like ECs are significantly weak. Are you part of any clubs involving volunteering/leadership?
According to the Penn website, Wharton is looking for the following:
Are leaders, movers and shakers, and will make an impact
Have strong academic records
Have taken the most rigorous curriculum offered by their school
Have taken calculus during high school
Are well rounded
Have a genuine interest in business, Wharton, and Penn
I feel as though you need to show more of your impact/leadership/well-roundedness.
Other than that, like I said, you’ve got the test scores down, thats so amazing.
I’ll be honest, great scores are really great but wharton wants more than that. I got in without the bestest of grades and ranks because of significant extracurricular activities, leadership positions, research, etc. Then again, there is no magic formula to get in and anything could happen, just be aware that your application is just too academic without (in my opinion) enough supporting extracurriculars, awards, etc.
Reach. 4.0/2400 aka academically perfect students are rejected on the regular (I’ve counted 3 friends so far this early cycle, and that’s EARLY admission). Why? Because they’re too much of a cookie-cutter “perfect student”- especially the fact that you’re Asian as well. In a program as competitive as Wharton, the primary objective is to stand out and show leadership and initiative. Are these all your EC’s? What makes you stand out from the other 4.0/2400 students?
If this is your complete profile, unless your essay is absolutely killer, I’d say Wharton is a reach for you.
Those are superb scores and grades. However, that’s it. I don’t know how good your essays or recs are, but the EC’s might be a deal breaker. Try to make sure your unique personality is brought out in essays. Also, encourage your rec writers to really write about you as a person and character traits.
Don’t even bother with this poster. It appears that they were caught on this forum applying to Penn and Harvard early and now they are trying to make like their are multiple people using their account.
Obivous troll - who really gets 2400/4.0 and has those ECs, bad recs, etc.
