<p>Ok so Whitman is by far my first choice! I applied EDII.
I am a female.
GPA: Weighted: 3.76 Unweighted: 3.57
My freshmen first semester destroyed me as I received a 2.7 but I then raised it second semester to a 3.6. Sophomore both semesters I got a 3.8, Junior both semesters a 4.3.
-I wrote about a extremely difficult situation I was going through in the additional section of the application to explain my poor GPA freshmen year.</p>
<p>ACT: 25</p>
<p>APS/Honors I took 2 Aps and one honor last year and this year I am taking 3 Aps.</p>
<p>Interview: It was my first interview so I was really nervous, but I was being real and let my personality shine through.</p>
<p>Personal Essay: I chose the who influenced me the most prompt. I wrote about my Grandpa...and I think its Unique because my grandpa suffered from a stroke before I met him so I never was able to carry a convo with him...but I write how his actions have influenced me. </p>
<p>Diversity essay: I wrote about how I am russian, armenian, jewish and polish. And my circle of friends and how important to me all opinions are respected.</p>
<p>Optional essay: I wrote about my experience visiting whitman and How I fell in love with it.
EC:
-I play tennis every single day and have a national ranking. I am on the recruit list for Whitman. I have spoken with the coach and played with some members of the team.
-I participate in a a lot of Community Service
-Member of many clubs, such as a staff writer for the Talon.
-I took 2 classes at Pierce. One sophomore year and one junior year. I took psychology and cultural anthropology and I received an A in both.
-I volunteer weekly at Valley Press Hospital, Pacific pride (LGBT) foundation, Jenson-Schmidt academy for the down syndrome, Pet orphans and a lot more organizations.
-I was accepted into the National Honors Society
-I am a member of student council
-I won the St. Michael's Book award for outstanding Community Service.</p>
